About Us

A Community of Great Women!

Whether you describe yourself as a smart career woman, sassy mom or service-driven grandma, you belong in the Women's Connection. Becoming a member allows access to our community of resources when you need ideas, support, connections or just need a break.

Promises to our members

  • We will educate and empower women to make informed, intelligent choices
  • We will inspire and challenge each woman to live her best life
  • We will raise up and support women leaders
  • We will provide connections for women to be resources for other women

We continue to grow by consistently giving women what they want and need. We know you are already over-committed at home and work, so we don't require you to attend events monthly, serve on a committee or raise money. Just come to events when you can or log on to this Web site to find information, get empowered, share ideas, connect with other members, or laugh for a few minutes during your hectic day.

History of the Women's Connection

Founded in 1997 by a handful of visionary women who recognized a need in the region for a place where women could connect with - and be a resource for - other women.

Women's Connection has evolved into a community of nearly 800 members throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

The support of our Key Partner, UnityPoint Health-Trinity, enables us to continue to raise up and support area women. Event sponsorship and in-kind sponsorship from regional employers enables us to expand services and feature national-level keynote speakers on topics affecting all women.

Mission of the Women's Connection

We're fulfilling our mission to "inspire, educate and connect" women by giving you a forum to hear stories of leadership; learn about issues that matter; form important personal and professional relationships, and recharge your battery to live the life you were meant to live.

Attend an event, feel the energy of the women in attendance and make new friends.  Women's Connection is a one of a kind organization.
